Im racing a mini cooper s in USTTC and GTS3. This weekend I was running 1:57.4 in 100+ degree temps. Since there was no supersize at Infineon I had to skip the GTS class. This is on Nitto NT 01 tires.

I was out there last weekend as well. It was a hot one. I was running with the HPDE-4 group with average times of 2:05 to 2:10 your time of 157.4 i'm guessing thats 1:574 min. My plan is to drive in the GTS-3 class in the future and I needed to see how much I needed to step up my driving .. it looks like I have a ways to go..

Thanks for the reply

Ive run a 1:48 there on Hoosiers in a GTS3 E36 M3. That car is at 12.5 lbs per HP though so I imagine it could get down into the 46s with some more HP or less weight. It was on a nice cool day too.

Our 'ti would be in GTS3 too, although it's built more to USTCC specs than really optimized for GTS Challenge at 13.3 lbs/hp. On 225 Nittos we've run mid 1:50.x's in good conditions. Super-hot Sonoma Soak will definitely suck a few seconds off your times.

Can you run a Mini in GTS Challenge? That sounds like one of those age-old questions as to whether it's a British or German car.

Which manufacturer of the Mini (that'll answer your question )?

Reminds me of the Top Gear episode from a few years ago where TG England and TG Germany raced each other in the 'best' of each of their country's cars. If course for the small compact car they both brought out a MINI and hilarity ensued.

I did enjoy that episode, as I do most of them. I've wanted to get a Mini and paint a German flag on the top just to irritate the purists
