Hello all!

I wanted to give new competitors a heads up.

I can really only speak from experience regarding CMC so others with experience with other classes please chime in.

 

This year in CMC the race director is the same as last year. In 2008, as I recall, the following was checked and associated equipment and tools needed to check were the competitors responsibilty.

 

Brakes- Rotor diameter and caliper piston diameter. Need jack and stands and tools to get to those parts.

Fuel- Got sample? Got fire extinguisher?

Displacement- need tools to remove spark plugs and turn crackshaft. They provide the "whistler".

 

Who knows what your class will check? I recommend your crew have the stuff ready and means to get all this to the tech area. A golf car is recommended.

I am not providing my own dyno...

 

Beyond that, meet me in my pit stall....I might even let the director ride in the passenger seat back there.
