Tristan Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Hi guys. Just a quick question about you who have made you own front Airdams. I'm looking at doing this myself but unsure of the type of material to use for it. Could anyone specify some material to make these from. Cheers Tristan Quote
wm577 Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I used an alumalite sheet for the flat bottom section, and aluminum sheet metal for the front "dam" section. Your local sign shop should have the alumalite sheets as it's used to make large outdoor signs. Quote
mbuskuhl Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 For airdams, plastic roll sheet from the circle track vendors is very popular - http://www.southwestspeed.com/?sec=view_part&id=3698 For a splitter, 3/8" multi ply cabinet grade plywood covered in fiberglass resin is common and much more durable than aluminum. Not an HC, but here's a splitter/air dam made from the above components: Quote
