what wheels are the lightest?

so, i've done some googling, but come up short... my google-fu is failing me.

I have a set of early offset phone dials (came with the car) and a set of early offset cookie cutters... I want to use the lighter set for my track-day rubber.

i'd weigh them myself, but the phone dials currently have tires on them and the cookies do not.

Cookie cutters are lighter than phone dials. Others may have an exact difference but, as I recall, it is about 2+ pounds!!!!!!

Go with the lighter wheels, less rotating mass, faster acceleration and better stopping.

Enjoy.

Cookies are the lighter. Check on this forum or the 944spec.org one. There is a list of the wheel weights already done.

This is what I have for 15x7 wheels:

Fuchs: 13.4 lbs. <-- Not 944-Spec legal.

Cookie Cutters: 15.2 lbs.

Phonedials: 17.5 lbs.

I have trying to get some low cost cookies for my new car but all I could find was a set of phone dials for $125 .

Cookies should be less expensive than phone dials, more of them and less desirable for street use.

Come on guys, where is the love for Chuck? Help him before Nationals.

2+ lbs!!!!! Wow. Can't say I noticed a difference but then I was not really checking.

I did notice that my RA-1's on Cookies at Infineon last weekend had alot of push, maybe the wheels were too light

May not be a big deal with this low of HP.

Yeah, they're getting harder to come by. I've had my eye out for another set for myself, but even the ones on eBay are going for too much money. I figure they're worth $200 a set, shipped.

Yeah, tell me about it! I have been out bided on eBay a number times tying to buy another set for under $200 (shipped)!

If someone has a set of decent, straight Cookie Cutters (early offset), please let me know.

Thanks.
