Sarwat Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 (edited) Hey guys, I had hoped to race in the Honda Challenge H4 class but things didn't work out. The car is: - 1992 Integra, 2dr, hatchback, 5spd, stock everything - Current CA street tags and title in my name - Gutted and has a custom cage done by Mike Lock of Calcualted Risk - Mike also installed the sunroof plug - New RaceTech seat - Schroth 6-pt harness - I gave it a tune up, new master cylinder and few little things before the last smog test Here's what the car needs to make it track worthy: - Track wheels+tires+brakes - Springs+shocks - Rollcage padding - Fire extinguisher - Optionally, any motor work you may want to do - it's stock with about 170k miles on it, runs and pulls strong So you're looking at about $2k-$3k worth of stuff to make it track worthy. Given the economy I'm letting it go for $3800. The car's perfectly driveable but I can deliver it within a reasonable distance. Edited July 16, 2009 by Guest Quote
Sarwat Posted July 16, 2009 Author Posted July 16, 2009 I've dropped the price to $3800. The car's perfectly driveable but I can deliver it within a reasonable distance. Quote
clock Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Just buy my car here for $1000 bucks, take the suspension and wheels off it and hit the track viewtopic.php?f=31&t=29607 Quote
mikeski38 Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 awww sarwat, I am bummed to see you giving it up. If I just hadn't bought a new car I would totally buy yours in finish it, I love DA's. Quote
Sarwat Posted July 19, 2009 Author Posted July 19, 2009 Chris, if I had the room I'd totally buy your car. In fact, anyone thinking about going racing on a budget should consider both mine and your car as a full running spare with the right suspension and wheels. Heck, if you're willing to sell the suspension and wheels separately I'll buy 'em. Mike, I keep regretting the sale but with other priorities in life I just don't have the time anymore. I'd keep it longer but at this point I'm paying for the storage, registration and insurance so financially it just doesn't make sense. I love the DAs too I wish I had this car available when I went looking to build my own. BTW, congrats on your new purchase, that was a smoking deal Quote
