sr20goofus Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 I still use the factory gas tank like many of the HPDEers and racers we all see. I do have an issue with fuel sloshing around under a 1/2 tank, apparently my factory baffling is kind of crap. While keeping car modification costs down, what is the best easiest to use fuel cell foam for a factory gas tank? I have about a 6" dia. hole to work with and would like to get a good bit of foam in there to help reduce my sloshing and constant worry of fuel starvation on track. i know a fuel cell could be ideal, but without going down that pricey road, id like to try this first. Aardwolf Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 I've been pondering this as well. I think fuel cell foam you need to replace every few years? I've been thinking about making a metal baffle. That would be zero maintenance. I'm not sure about the design though. Maybe a type of screen would work as well, like in an oil pan. Quote
