megatron Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Just graduated from b-schoool and selling my 99 M3 and need to sell it soon before moving overseas for work. Willing to work out deal on price / spares included / setup help, etc. Car is in Virginia near DC and is currently in a 20ft enclosed trailer which is also available. PM me here or e-mail carag at sloan dot mit dot edu with any questions. Thanks, Ryan Carag This car has pretty much every E36 trick in the book. I built it for SCCA Street Modified Solo, but it has a lof of ways it can go from here: - This is a great car turnkey for SCCA Solo Street Modified and is nationally competitive out of the box. Last national event I ran this was at the 2006 Solo Nationals where it was the 2nd fastest car in Street Modified. - The car is not stripped (per Street Modified regulations), and thus can be turned back into a very crazy streetcar. - The car is a great platform to turn into a track car Pic courtesy of teamwtf: Suspension/Wheels/Tires: BimmerHaus/TC-Kline Koni DA H&R Front Bar, 27mm Contact for specific spring rates/settings, car includes several spring sets No Rear Bar, Have H&R 18mm rear bar CCW 18x10" Front CCW 18x11.5" Rear 285/30/18 Hoosier A6 Front 315/30/18 Hoosier A6 Rear Engine: 2.8L Aluminum Block M52B28 Bottom, S52 Top, ARP hardware all around Engine was a 0-mile factory re-man on installation and has run < 500miles Engine is fully studded, bearings mic'ed, etc. Eurosport Twinscrew running 11-11.5psi, carbon heatshield & intake Active Autowerke Gen1 Headers Active Autowerke Test Pipe Custom Cat-back Exhaust w/ Carbon/Ti Muffler (~10lbs) Drivetrain: UUC Aluminum Flywheel UUC Cerametallic Clutch Custom Differential - contact for details, extremely effective, great hook on slippery Nationals surface Redline Fluids Body & Aero: VIS Carbon Fiber Hood Carbon Fiber Sunroof M3 LTW Aluminum Doors Custom Carbon/Woodcore Splitter ARP GT2 Wing Front fenders pulled to accept 285/30/18 Fronts Rear fenders cut, welded to accept 315/30/18 Rears (can fit up to 335s) Rear Fender Flares Interior: Sparco Pro 2000s Radio/Speaker Delete (Have complete stock HK radio) Sparco Wheel VDO Boost Gauge in Radio Delete Panel Other: 11lb Hawker Battery More pictures. looking to move this. come and get it! trailer the car is in right now also available for EZ pickup. setup is in VA. Front view of hood, splitter, etc. Carbon sunroof panel. Aftercooler and grille. Yummy Eurosport Twinscrew. Retail on this kit is 10K now, guys. And you don't get a tasty aluminum block motor to cancel the weight of the Twinscrew. Motor going in. Yummy AA Headers! Aluminum block in the foreground, aluminum doors in the background! Center console and steering wheel. Not much really to see here, and that's pretty much the point. Pro 2000s and Sabelt Harnesses: 285s Front. Here you can also see how far back the splitter goes. Maximum per the rules to the centerline of front wheels. Splitter is bolted to suspension bottom cross member. 315s Rear. Best overall combo for forward bite and low sidewall. Also shorter than the 335s. Flares. Can fit 335s. Speaking of that yummy aluminum block... 55lbs less than the steel block. Put a twinscrew on there and it's basically like there's no twinscrew weight, but all the twinscrew torque and power. Cross-bolt mains. You don't find this on an S52 block. BTW, this pic was taken with the S52-spec ARP main studs I first ordered, which are obv too short. The motor is actually running S54-spec ARP studs on the mains. Studly motor. Fully ARP studded. Assembled Piston bottom oil squirters. These don't exist on a steel block. This motor is built for boost! Motor was ZERO MILE from the factory on installation. Since then, it's seen about 5 autocross weekends and maybe 300 street miles. Head is decked 5tho to bump the compression to 10.33:1. Setup is at ~11lbs of boost. Quote
