Using two new tires, a question.

I have a full tread set of R888's with 2 race weekends on them. After the theft of two, I have remaining two new, shaved R888's that I would like to use at Road Atlanta in August.

My question is: What is the best way to use two fresh tires?

RA is about the high spead right hand turns at both ends of the front straight and the right hander that leads onto the long backstraight. Do I put the new tires on the loaded left side?

Do I put them both in the back for traction or do I use them on the front for turn in?

Any thoughts?

I'd put them on which ever end slides the most. If it's a coin toss, I'd go rear with new tires.

We had a CMC2 racer win his first race at the last event with R888's on the rear and RA1's on the front! Sort of a slap in the face or mockery of the rules!!! It got a great laugh around the paddock.

Both on the left side.

Use them for the best traction, IMHO.
