GTS3 help! Meeting Lime Rock's 89db limit in 95 M3

Am headed up (hopefully) to Lime Rock for their event Aug 7/8. They have an 89db sound limit. I'm running a fairly typical E36M3 GTS3 car (legal in BMWCCA IP), which uses Supersprint exhaust. It was last measured at Laguna Seca at 95 or 96db (they were measuring on an uphill, on passenger's side, about 35ft from right side of track, maybe more).

It's been suggested that I fab a turn-down pipe (really two, it's twin tips) that points exhaust to the OUTSIDE of the track (drivers side) for Lime Rock.

Anyone had experience/success with this? Seems like a pretty big drop in sound.

Any help appreciated.

Joe

p.s. if anyone can confirm that sound is measured on the INSIDE (passenger side) of the track @LR, it would be appreciated. This seems strange since it's the neighbors who we're worried about.

Eric - would love to, but I have family/friends up there and had planned this event to coincide with a party that weekend I need to go to. Well, I guess I didn't plan it too well.

I see you guys got that engine together in time to run well at VIR!! Amazing!

I've never actually seen where they place their sound meter, but have been told they don't always use the same location. I would prepare for the worst, hope for the best, in terms of enforcement.
