gbrown8439 Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Modular Depot is proud to announce that we will be the official dyno operator for the NASA National Championships at Miller Motorsports Park. The 2009 Event at Miller will be a huge elevation change for most competitors placing an even higher demand on double checking their tune and HP to weight ratio. We will be arriving early on Wednesday the 9th to take care of any customers wanting to double check their tune/power for the altitude change. Dyno availability will be very limited once qualifying starts so book your time early. We have the ability to be operational on Tuesday the 8th if the demand is high enough. The rates will be $100 for 3 pulls or $150 to rent the dyno for an hour. Please contact Greg at 877-234-5551 or [email protected] to make your reservation now.
gbrown8439 Posted August 12, 2009 Author Posted August 12, 2009 I just want to give everyone and update. We are scheduling appointments on Tuesday. As of right now there are very few openings left on Wednesday and Tuesday is filling up quickly. We are taking payment up front and it is not refundable. We are doing this to help ensure we have an accurate schedule that everyone can stick to.
sn8byte Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Greg; This is great. I do however have a question: Will classes that require motor sealing below a specific HP (like SSM) be required to do pull(s) to verify it was sealed within the rules?
gbrown8439 Posted August 13, 2009 Author Posted August 13, 2009 That is really up to your series director. I am just there to help enforce the rules.
gbrown8439 Posted August 14, 2009 Author Posted August 14, 2009 From Thursday to Sunday most of our time will be dedicated to NASA compliance runs. I do have a little time available in the mornings and evenings but not a lot. Give me a call on Monday, I'm at Mid Ohio right now.
jeffburch Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 I thought Dynojets compensated for altitude. What's the real story? Thanks, Jb

King Matt Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 I thought Dynojets compensated for altitude. What's the real story? Thanks, Jb Ask JG III! For those who don't know or care what this refers to, just note that it's highly unlikely you will make MORE HP at high elevation than you did at the lower elevation. Now, the other way around...no comment. But let's just say there is a good reason the CMC dyno rules had to be tightened up a few years ago.
