goofygrin Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 My car comes with a 2 port solenoid. I've replaced it with a 3 port (actually a GM MAC valvle) in order to smooth the boost curve. Is this a +4 mod under: 15) Aftermarket boost controller or modification/alteration of OEM vacuum lines that serve to function as a boost controller +4 I'm still using the ECU to control the boost, just changing the way that it controls it. I'm guessing +4 Quote
kbrew8991 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 walks like a boost controller, quacks like a boost controller to me Quote
goofygrin Posted August 11, 2009 Author Posted August 11, 2009 well technically it's not a boost controller... it's what the boost controller uses to control the boost It's a component of the boost control system (and since the vacuum lines are changing, I'm still thinking +4) Quote
kbrew8991 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 so it controls boost in some way - boost controller!! Quote
BPMGUYS Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Here is a little rule note. By the rules you can not have a boost controller in the cockpit that can be changed by the driver during the race. Quote
