Can someone confirm these figures? We don't go that fast at Road America. It's more like, just under 150 at RA.

Miller

Front straight is 3500 feet (flat)

Road America

Front straight is 4300 feet (up hill section), midde straight is 3800 (slight down hill) and the back straight is over 4000 with a very fast kink (flat).

I'm surpised that the speeds are higher at Miller, but that's why I'm looking for confirmation.

Front straight is a gradual downhill, all the way from "release" to turn 1.... not much of a slope, but there is a definite one.

All the info below is based on an AI car.

All of the corners leading to the straights listed above appear to be similiar. The exeptioin is the back straight at Road America. Exiting the kink at about 115 mph, which leads to a 2700 straight. Top speed is about 150 mph, or maybe a little less.

Anyone willing to list top speeds of the front straight at Miller for various types of cars, would be helpful.

A spec miata is 115-120, you hit the braking zone in 4th gear at about redline and you'll hit 5th if your in a good draft, yeah it's pretty boring. I was told by someone that the front straight was designed so that a ZO6 corvette could hit 165, not sure if that's true or not but thats what I was told.

Dave, if you watched that video from the ST1 C6 Z06, he is leaving release in 2nd gear and never leaving 4th... From what I understand, redline in 4th in a Z06 is about 150mph....assuming he is still running stock diameter tires...and he's probably not. He's also got 150 to 200 more hp than we do!

That's about what I was thinking. I put our cars around 140-145, so that 3.08 is perfect

For what it is worth I hit a high top speed at Cal Speedway in the banking in my 944 spec car. In a draft of a honda civic I can hit 6000 RPM in 5th at Cal speedway. I calculate that to 132 mph. At Miller last year I never got that fast.

Of course I only have 134 whp hp so much less than the AI cars. However at least for us 944 spec guys Cal Speedway has a higher top speed.
