Enzo Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Looks like I missed some great racing at Mid-Ohio. There were some nice finishes on both days - congratulations guys! Scott, - thanks for getting the race summary out so I could read about what I missed. What happened to you on Sunday - did you huff your motor?? Also, anyone from Great Lakes planning to go to Gingerman? I know Mid-Ohio is barely over and Gingerman is just around the corner so I thought I would see who's planning on going. I'll be there (and I also managed to convince my wife that we need to spend Labor Day weekend in South Haven - go figure!) Thanks, Enzo Quote
John Graber Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Gingerman will be a blast. It is a fun track, very casual paddock, and only 5 minutes from the Summer fun of South Haven. I am trying to drag the rest of the GTS1 gang along and have four cars so far. Also, don't forget we have a 2-hour Enduro Friday September 4th. It's $199 and will be a great way to kick-off the weekend. Quote
Brad Waite Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Gingerman is a nice track and South Haven is a wonderful little waterfront town. The weather should be terrific and typically you will not see the kind of heat and humidity we often see in Ohio and Indiana. I drove the track several times in DEs a number of years ago when I was working toward my racing license. I would encourage anyone who can, to make the event. Unfortunately I have a conflicting vacation, but wish I could be there. Quote
JSG1901 Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Scott, - thanks for getting the race summary out so I could read about what I missed. What happened to you on Sunday - did you huff your motor?? The jury's still out on the motor. It ran enough to get me back to the garage but makes ugly noises when you try to turn it over so...I don't know. I know aero and suspension--the quiet stuff. Somebody smarter than me needs to look at the noisy bits. Quote
disasterman Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Hello gentlemen, I just joined the forum and will be at the Gingerman race. I signed up for the enduro and the sprint races. Looking forward to meeting those that I have not yet met. Hopefully you guys can answer a few questions for a NASA rookie at his first event. Here's to a large field. Quote
911.racer Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I will be coming and running in GTS 1. I know, I was at the last two Mid-O evnets and was done on Friday, but since last week I put a new motor in the car with fresh bearings and all and took it to Beaverun to give it a good test run. Ed Baus Looks like I'll be running against my old transmission . I will be in 944 Spec, but if you're running the enduro, it'll be heads up . Quote
John Graber Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Entry list should be posted tonight. Eric, How many of the MW 944 Spec guys are running the enduro???? You know, budget build...budget racing. Don't let me down. Quote
cstreit911 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Looks like we have a good event brewing. Looking forward to seeing some of you Great Lakes guys out at Gingerman. It's a great and safe track. Bring your significant others, the South Haven area has great shops and stuff for the kids and ladies. Quote
