What NASA racing class corresponds to SCCA ITA?

you'd need to run your car through the Performance Touring ruleset

its a bit different philosophy - instead of behind handed a modificaiton list you can pick & choose what you want to do with every modification having a points value.. collect enough points and you bump up to the next highest class, and so on

fwiw depending on the level of build I've seen most fall between PTE and PTD, but you really need to run through the whole process and tally up your modifications

What John said is absolutely correct. However, if you are running a Porsche 944 under SCCA ITA, you may also be covered under the 944 Cup rules.

Dale's post does spark another thought - if its a Honda you'd need to have a set of Toyos but you could run Honda Challenge, if its a German car you could run GTS on any tires and if its a Camaro/Mustang/similar it may fit Camaro-Mustang Challenge or American Iorn (again, Toyos needed)
