AZELISE Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Does anyone know the PT and TT track records for the outer loop at MMP. I tried searching but I must be looking in the wrong place.
Members Shawn M. Posted August 24, 2009 Members Posted August 24, 2009 Does anyone know the PT and TT track records for the outer loop at MMP. I tried searching but I must be looking in the wrong place. The only thing I can find is from the Rocky Mountain region. I dont know what configuration and its fairly old data but these are the only numbers I found listed. Miller Motorsports Park Class No. Name Vehicle Time Date TTR 17 Steve Raeder 04 Corvette Z06 3:21.130 5/21/06 TTU 86 John Scharf Factory Five Cobra 3:16.910 5/21/06 TTA 27 Bud Harris 91 Corvette ZR1 3:23.960 5/21/06 TTB 88 Todd Green BMW M3--E36 3:17.460 5/21/06 TTC 77 Greg Greenbaum 04 Dodge SRT4 3:25.470 5/21/06 TTD 74 Jeff Weiss 82 Porsche 911 3:33.840 5/21/06 TTE 888 Gus Stribakos 75 Porsche 911 3:41.190 5/21/06 TTF 35 John Reed Mazda RX-7--12A 3:46.220 5/21/06 I would suspect that all winning times in TT will be newly established NASA track records.
Members Dave K. Posted August 24, 2009 Members Posted August 24, 2009 Those times have to be full track, or SNOW on the outer loop... MPRA ran the outer loop this weekend, Spec miata was running 2:19-2:21 range
kbrew8991 Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 yeah 3:45 on a 3ish mi track for TTF means someone was powered by Fred Flintstone
Weston Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 yeah 3:45 on a 3ish mi track for TTF means someone was powered by Fred Flintstone Nah, Cody Powell (aka Fred Flintstone) is actually pretty fast...
AZELISE Posted August 24, 2009 Author Posted August 24, 2009 Found some results from an outer loop session this past weekend and cross referenced to the Nationals entry list. I know these are not track records, but these drivers must be pretty serious. To save you the trouble: in Qualifying and Race results looks like the best ST1 was 1:59.1, ST2 2:09.1, AIX 2:11.6, SM 2:20.0, 944Spec 2:22.2. I am sure the morning practice sessions were faster, but these are not on MyLaps.
AZELISE Posted August 24, 2009 Author Posted August 24, 2009 And comparing these times to a crossover NASA AZ and Rocky Mountian event last year (if the times were better): ST1 158.7 ST2 202.0 TTR 206.0 TTS 211.8 A 217.8 B 208.4 C 213.8 D 217.0
Jon lee Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 It was really windy this weekend. Strong cross wind on main straight, all the way from T3-5, and witchcraft. Brutal head wind going up hill from T1-3 and then a decent tail wind coming from Tooele to Clubhouse. Champs should be running 2 seconds quicker. If we have good weather.
