EJO Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I will be leaving Allentown, PA Saturday morning. Is anyone else leaving from the Northeast around the same time?
kbrew8991 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 slightly OT - what route are you guys taking... you might end up in KS about the same time as me
EJO Posted August 27, 2009 Author Posted August 27, 2009 VERY complex route. We will take the PA turnpike north to Rt. 80. Rt 80 for about 2000 miles to Utah then turn south and hit MMP. Directions easy enough for someone from Clemson to follow. j/k. I'm a Clemson Tiger. 90' - '93
kbrew8991 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I expect to hit I-80 in Cheyenne Wyoming sometime on Sunday maybe mid-day or so (I hope, ugh). I don't think you guys will be that far along, will you? - KB, class of '06
EJO Posted August 27, 2009 Author Posted August 27, 2009 I believe we will stop somewhere around Joliet, IL Sat. night and then try to make North Platte, NE Sun. night. That's approx. 11 hours of driving on Sat. and Sun. and then 8-9 hours on Monday to get to MMP. This might change depending on how much my co-driver wants to drive.
tonysenese Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Good Luck Erik! Represent us well, you might be the only Northeast guy there!!!!
smokinjoe Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 We're coming up from Atlanta, through St Louis - and may make it as far as Lincoln NE by Sunday night. But it's I80 all the way at that point. We may stop for family in Springfield, MO - which throws everything off course. But a free bed is hard to pass up even if it add 2hrs to the driving. Our goal is to be 5hrs from Tooele by Monday night.

EJO Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 Thanks Tony, Thanks Eric. I hope I can represent the East Coast well. If not I'm sure John Reamer will.

Pretty nice bullet you can put on that racing resume of yours! It was great to have met you and your family. Despite some of the characters around the garage, you folks are good people. Hope you had a safe and uneventful trip back home. John A. (98 white integra--garage right next to yours)
