Redstone Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 just read the rules, NSX is allowed 2800 lbs using either the 3.0 or 3.2 v6! should be wicked fast! Quote
B.KRAUS Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 2800LBS.Thats heavy.MY MONEY IS ON GRAHAM. Quote
National Staff Jeremy C. Posted September 4, 2009 National Staff Posted September 4, 2009 2800LBS.Thats heavy.MY MONEY IS ON GRAHAM. Not really! NSX is super fast if well setup and well driven even at that weight! Quote
Redstone Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 My car is 2600.An nsx is only 200lbs more. A 3.0 or 3.2 v6 easily makes 250-270whp, compared to 215-220 from a K24. NSX is also balanced better, more aerodynamic, can fit huge tires and brakes. I think a well setup 6 spd 3.2 could be really fast! Quote
Andrie Posted September 4, 2009 Author Posted September 4, 2009 Actually the NSX can not run big brakes which is a big problem if they don't have good ducting. I ran a bone stock 3.2l NSX at thunderhill with bridgestone so2. Over the top on 5 and turning 2:09. Wasn't 100% and it was only 1 session. Give me a day and you'll see 2:07. That means about 2:05 with bypass. Weigh about 3200 with me. I ran 3.0l street nsx with slicks and koni 3012. Turned 2:00 over the top at 5. That means 1:58 with bypass on 3100 lbs car. Cut 300lbs and put toyo it should do 1:58 all day. That is until the brakes overheat. The 3.0 stock with bolt ons dyno around 240 to 250 on dynojet the 3.2 stock with bolt on dyno around 270 on dynojet. Now I have a killer NSX for sale. 2500 lbs with me. Very good aero, wind tunnel tested, 330 whp, brand new moton triple, blade type front anti roll bar, full cage, efi technology engine management (ecu), igniter, and data logger, tilting triple carbon clutch, brembo Indy gold calipers, techomagnesio wheels, 6 inch radiator with water to air intercooler add on (if you want to go FI), oil to water heat exchanger. Basically the whole nine yard. Let me know if anyone interested. Asking $80k. Quote

mdcrsx Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Who's driving? were did the car come from? details.... This is the car: http://turbolabracing.blogspot.com/ Joe Sim is the driver. It should be quite fast even w/o the Turbo and extra weight! Quote
AustinG Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 So If I'm reading this right, an NSX has to use OEM, unmodified body panels(no CF/Fiberglass anything unless OEM), and it has to conform to ALL of the very basic H1-4 rules(Section 7), i.e. limited splitter, no cam gears, 4" ride height, no lexan. And you can add any brakes, 75lbs, and external reservoir shocks +75lbs. It's essentially an H4 prepped car that can add any brakes they want if I'm reading this right. Quote
