thewerxracing Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 My 1984 944 is officially up for sale. After Winning E-Stock in my region I think that it is time to move on, so a ESP WRX is next for me... I owned the car for a little more than a year. Since buying it in stock form I have added: Full M030 Adjustable Suspension K&N Filter New ZERO-MILE! Transaxle with LSD and Short #5 & Short Throw Shifter CV Joints New-er Alternator New Fuel Filter/Pump A/C Delete Glasspack WeltMeister Harness Bar Fresh street tires & Hoosier R6s on Cookie Cutters. Sony Head Unit So, being a dedicated Autocross toy, several things were removed. The AC and everything to go with it, including the in-dash box, has been taken out. Many things that added useless weight are gone. Recently the Ring and Pinion went, so I decided to replace the whole transaxle with a 0-Mile rebuild with a LSD and Short fifth (if youre going to do it... might as well). The Bad: The powersteering started to act up so I removed the belt, I have a used working PS Pump ready to go on it. The headgasket went last weekend. As far as I know I will be putting one in it to get the car back to driving standards. ***NEW HEADGASKET/ Timing Belts*** Paint: It needs a paintjob. I have the paint for it, just not the time. I'm needing $4,000 for it. I have $3,000 in the trans and suspen/tires alone. [email protected] I am in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Want a specific picture? Ill take it. Let me know. Better off sending me an email at mchmielewski at theweekender dot com. Quote
thewerxracing Posted July 12, 2010 Author Posted July 12, 2010 Few Updates: I got the headwork/belts/shift linkage stuff sorted out and started autocrossing it again. I ran the tank dry and couldnt fire it up after putting new gas in it. So, something tells me its a fuel pump/pressure issue. Also, the price is $3000 or trades. Quote
Darkstar1 Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Nice car for the price. I would give you a bump, but we know that would not be allowed... Quote
bbimpreza Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Very nice car. Need an ESP WRX? I know of one that might be for sale. Quote
thewerxracing Posted January 29, 2011 Author Posted January 29, 2011 ..Ive almost got an ESP WRX. Soon, once the money for this pays the rest of the other bills. This car has been sitting outside the garage letting mother nature have her way. It stopped at the last autocross during the summer because I ran it out of fuel. Since then, Ive been swapping between the original fuel pump and a new Bosch I picked up for it, but there seems to be a fuel delivery issue last time I checked (fall). I need the money for the transaxle ($2000), so pay for that and you can trailer the car away. Im going to grab new pictures tomorrow. for quick response, email me at thewerxracing (at) gmail (.) com Quote
Sterling Doc Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 Where are you located - sounds like a great basis for a 944 Spec car! Quote
thewerxracing Posted January 30, 2011 Author Posted January 30, 2011 New pictures, as it currently sits this afternoon: Quote
