marshallmosty Posted November 13, 2009 Share Posted November 13, 2009 Todd, If there aren't going to be any "major" changes, can you please at least bring the list of issues and CR's to the table so everyone can see what is at stake. If we are talking about things along the lines of "The American Iron patch must be worn on the left side of the driving suit", I don't care. But... it we are talking about major things like ABS, Aero, suspension (going backwards), the racers need to know. If there are 35 issues/CR's, list them out one by one. But Jim... we know Todd can take the faster line off-track, well at TWS at least. That's why his car was "hurt" over a year ago... and just recently back on track. If Todd can address my specific question, I think everyone will be able to get a decent grasp of what the rules "may" look like. However, I would like to know what is being considered. Being now two weeks after the estimated original release date, I'd really like to know what (or what not) to build back into my car for next season since we have absolutely scratch right now. Those reps then work together and against each other on the problems and often come to no conclusion. Then they extend the current rules and budget til the next chance to argue over it. Lots of awards, BBQ, (most excellent) door prizes and the World Premiere Texas AI/CMC Season Recap Video (2 viewings) kept them all at bay most of the afternoon, but at the end... the rope came out and they forced answers out of me. It was brutal... I have a keen sense of the obvious and based on the local AI environment, I think we need to release some details and the final rules ASAP. You WILL have a rules package before Thanksgiving...and I'll post some of my notes/details/messages I covered locally within the next 24 hours.
