Hi, first let me start by saying this IS NOT a kit car or locost. This is my dream Lotus 7. It is a complete running driving Lotus Super Seven inspired replica. I am selling due to a growing family. I had the car built from scratch by TSRacecraft in Hopewell, Pa.. TSRacecraft is a small cottage shop that specializes in building racing vehicles of all kinds and has been building wild imaginative creations for over thirty years. I had this car built with the intent to auto-x, race time trials, and hill climbs with it. I did have the opportunity to drive it three summers ago at an auto-x for two laps. After that it started raining and the car was still bare metal, so before it even got damp it was loaded back into the trailer, covered and brought home. Then my first son was born, and no time to play since then. Well my second son was born this March and amazingly no more free play time has popped up! So I have decided to pass my dream onto someone who will put it to good use. I will try to describe the car to the absolute best of my ability, but as with anything this in-depth I am sure I will forget something.

The chassis is completely round tube 4130 aircraft grade chromoly. I believe this to be the only one in existence. I have heard others try to build them but due to the difficulty fitting up the round tubing never got them done or scrapped the idea completely. The tubing was TIG welded, the only way to due chromoly effectively. Everything is triangulated for maximum strength and safety, and has an integrated roll bar, rather than one added on. Basically the chassis starts and is based around the roll bar, again for max safety. Overall the car was based on the Caterham SV dimensions, so it can accommodate larger/taller people. The seats are fixed in place, but you could have them moved to suit your height by any competent weld shop without much trouble.

For the running gear, everything has been rebuilt or is new. The engine is a 2000 Yamaha R1 super bike engine, with the 6 speed sequential gearbox actuated via paddle shifter located behind the steering wheel. Think F1 car. The engine is stock and puts out around 175hp and 75 ft/lbs of torque. Overall the car weighs about 900 lbs, so it’s very quick, and since it’s so light the engine is quite capable of cruising along at almost whatever speed you want or need to go. Pulling out on hills is not a problem either, think Honda civic, about the same torque and more than twice the weight and they don't have any problems! The exhaust system is a custom S&S 4-2-1 header with a Vance & Hines muffler. The front spindles/hubs/brakes are Mazda Miata and are rebuilt with new pads and Brembo rotors. The steering rack is a VW GTI manual and is new. The driveshaft is a custom made two piece unit with standard dana/spicer joints and is also new. The rear axle came from a toyota celica and was rebuilt with new bearings, seals, all braking components and drums. It is a welded rear axle which means that both wheels will drive all the time. Its great for traction, and since the car is so light it’s not difficult to drive around at slow speeds around corners, the inside wheel just scuffs a little.

The body is fiberglass and aluminum, and is held on by dzus fasteners. You can remove the entire body in about twenty minutes or less. So the car will be very easy to maintain and work on, you don't have to bend into a pretzel to reach something, its just right there. As for a windshield, I just have the little race wind deflector. I do have a windshield frame and will include that. The lights are mounted but not wired up. Wiring is my least favorite thing to do, but it shouldn't really take but a few hours to get it done, I just don't really have the time to do it. Other than wiring the lights and adding a windshield if you want to drive it on the street, it’s ready for the track or auto-x right now.

Shocks are GAZ coilovers with 32 position damping adjusters, the seats are Kirkey, Belts are Simpson five point harnesses, Fuel cell is an ATL 8 gallon FIA rated, brake and clutch pedal is a Wilwood assembly with brake balance bar, and a custom made gas pedal.

For all intents and purposes this car is new. It has only done two laps at an auto-x and has lived in my garage covered since. It is as close to new as you can get, but does unfortunately have a few small scrapes on the right side body panel from my son bumping a tire over onto it. There are a few other small scuffs or tiny scratches from bumping into it, but nothing that shouldn't clean up. The paint is single stage enamel on the fiberglass parts, so the more you rub and polish it the smoother and brighter it will get. The flat side panels and bonnet are pre-painted aluminum.

Now for the legal stuff, buyer is buying as-is with no warranty expressed or implied. I built this car for the track, but you could easily make it street legal. If you want to register all of the fees and whatever is on you. The car will be sold with a bill of sale only, it is not titled. Payment will be cash-in person, certified check(and I will verify with your bank it’s real), or a personal check(you can have the car once it’s cleared). I can help with delivery within a few hours of Pittsburgh, Pa. Just let me know where you are and we can work something out.

Thanks Paul
