Tyson Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Does the "B20" spec line for H2 include the B20Z with higher compression pistons? Also, is the JDM P8R head with larger valves allowed? thanks. btw, if anyone is interested in good imported engines for a reasonable cost, I have a friend who distributes B20's specifically. contact me on honda-tech for more info. Yes, and yes. Max compression is 10.1:1, which is a 0.50 increase over the B20Z compression. Any B20 block may be utilized and the PHK(B20Z) pistons may be added. The heads that are legal are the P74, P75 and the P8R, all of which are original equipment on the B20 of various years. The P8R is a JDM only head. The P74 and P75 are also OEM for the various B18A/B blocks. The P8R is the preferred head, as it has a 84mm bore vs 81mm, 45cc chambers vs 47cc chambers, and the intake valves are larger, 33mm vs 31mm, they're the same size as vtec valves. I've been doing a lot of research Off to bed, need to be up early to go watch the Honda Challenge race at Sears Point tomorrow. Quote
