Cyclingpeaks Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 O.k., I have tried Power Slots and the Cryo ones worked for nearly the entire season. Couldn't find them anymore, so bought the regular Power Slots. Worked for 1 weekend before cracking to bits. Now, it appears Power Slot is having supply issues? As no one has them in stock and can't seem to get them. What's the next best choice? I'd prefer not to use a drilled rotor as those just seem to crack faster, but also would rather use something better than just the OEM stock replacement rotors. Any thoughts? thanks. Hunter Quote
Members Eric W. Posted November 15, 2009 Members Posted November 15, 2009 Why are any of those other choices "better" than OEM replacements? Because of the slots? That only makes them better at looks. You can easily get Zimmerman blanks for cheap. Should be about $150-160/pair. If you cannot find, lemme know. Quote
laze1 Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 I run OEM-style Centric rotors from http://www.RockAuto.com" and never had a rotor problem on my 350z or E36 BMW BTW: I believe that the Centric , StopTechs, and Powerslots come from the same company...might be the same rotors with different names??? http://www.centricparts.com/ Quote
KTL Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 For anybody else looking for an answer to this, don't hesitate to use the OEM Zimmerman rotors. They are very high quality and withstand all the abuse you can throw at them. I've seen years of HPDE overbraking abuse applied to these rotors and they can handle the abuse of track duty just fine. And for those in the MidAtlantic region I can deliver to track free. Or I can ship to you Quote
