Members Al F. Posted November 20, 2009 Members Posted November 20, 2009 I have some information regarding RA1s I thought you'd be interested in: - Toyo will begin accepting orders from dealers for the RA1s and shipping them tires on Jan 4th (well, Jan 1st technically, but they arent open until the 4th...) - There are plenty of 16" 255 and 17" 275 tires on a boat as you read this, so there will be plenty available for dealers to fill orders immediately - Considering time for your dealer to get the tires, shave them, and send them to you, expect delivery to driver's homes to begin around the 19th of Jan. In other words, its going to be a little tight, but there will be tires before any of our regions are on track. Regarding expiring Toyo bucks, I know Appalachian Tire will accept your order and cash in your Toyo bucks right now and deliver when the tires get here. I know other dealers will make similar arrangements. You should consider giving Tommy from the rockies a call as well given he's a fellow AI racer as well as a Toyo dealer. Quote

Members Jay A. Posted November 21, 2009 Members Posted November 21, 2009 Ok mr. Phil.... It is a well know fact that you are the tire guru that knows what's in the magic formula that makes a race compound tire stick (or sometimes not). In your all knowing guruness are there any 18" RA1s loaded on that mystery ship? I heard about pirates on the high seas last week. Maybe they are the hold up. AAARRRRRrr!! Jay Quote
ST#97 Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I'd think the better question is what are these RA1's going to cost when they arrive. BFG R1's are on sale right now for 244 ea at tirerack....and I can have them on my doorstep next business day. Looks like it's going to be VERY tight to get tires for our first event on Jan 30. I hope that doesn't turn people off and hurt car count even worse. Quote
