Weed Wacker Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 It is my understanding that all cars, whether ST or STR are given a +0.4 modification factor if they are a 4 door. My question is do these doors have to be operational? For example, if i were to remove the stock door and replace it with a molded piece of fiberglass in the same shape as the door but molded it to the body, would it still be a 4 door under these rules? I would obviously have to still have the correct factor for the weight reduction, just didn't know if there was anything else to it. Quote

National Staff Greg G. Posted December 3, 2009 National Staff Posted December 3, 2009 If the door is removed, and there is no longer a door that opens, I would say that it is no longer a "4 door". Quote
mrc24x Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Stock Car (GTA)...Taurus, Grand Prix....Yeah, I don't think they need the 4 door break. Also, is the Rx8 a considered a four door Greg? Quote

Also, is the Rx8 a considered a four door Greg? The rules call for a "4-door sedan or 5-door wagon" +0.4 The RX-8 is a 4-door coupe or 4-door sports car, depending on where it is printed. So, I would say that it does not get the 4 door sedan break. Quote
