panozracing
These are an ALMS Pro teams GT2 left over 2009 tires. $100 each. PM me if your interested. Here is the total count with the sizes and compounds all on one chart. The Tires are located in South Florida. Shipping is not expensive if we can use a pallet and ship several tires. Most of these tires where run for 3 laps and then put away and never used. Sponsor changed and they have to use Hankook so these are no longer needed. All of them are from the 2009 season. Dawg
how do you break those #'s into ie. 315/30/18? us country folks ain't that smart! how were they stored?
panozracing
how do you break those #'s into ie. 315/30/18? us country folks ain't that smart! how were they stored? most slicks come this way width/diameter/rim size street tires are width/sidewall percentage/rim size take the rim size 18" and multiply by 25.4 to convert to metric = 457.2 mm subtract the rim diamter of 457.2mm from the overall diamter of 710mm = 252.8mm dived by two for both sides of the tire = 126.4mm which is the metric hight of the sidewall take the sidewall size of 126.4mm and dived bv width of 310 mm = .4078 which is 40.78% so a 310/710-18 would be a 310/40.78/18 non-dot legal tires are not done in this format they are almost always width/diameter/rim size
Armycop
Brian, help me out here, 'cuz I'm interested, but need some learning: My only experience with slicks has been with V710's on the 'vette. How do these tire compare? Fer instance, I've run an entire HPDE season (6 events) on the same set, and they're ready for more; I've burned through 2 set of pads though, and one set of rotors. I know they are sticky, but do they last like the 710's? And what sizes are equal to 315/40/18's? I run a square 18" setup.
panozracing
Brian, help me out here, 'cuz I'm interested, but need some learning: My only experience with slicks has been with V710's on the 'vette. On my GT2/ST1 race car we go thru a set of rear tires each day and fronts every other day. We race hard and can notice the grip changes so we sell the tires to HPDE drivers that get lots more use out of them. The slicks will be much stickier then the V710's. Buy a set of these scrubs and see how long they last for you? Every driver will be differant. I would say you will deffinatley get a few weekends out of them. It all depends on how hard you drive and how much wheelspin you have/allow. The 310/710X18 should be pretty close and slightly narrower but grippy compared to your 315/40/18's and the 330/710x18 will be a little wider. The first number is the width then overall diameter then wheel diameter (see previous explaination and conversion). Order a set up. They are priced right and even if you had to buy 2 sets compared to one set of V710's you are still saving money with stickier tires. claykos
Note that the width of slicks is done by treadwidth and DOTs are done by overall section width. So, a 310 is more like a 345+. 310/710 is a VERY large tire. At least it is in Michelins... If you want to find out the actual size you need to compare the actual dimensions listed in the manufacturers catalog.

panozracing
I spoke to the ALMS team manager and he told me their GT2 car runs 12.5" rear rims. So your 12" tire will work fine on any of the larger tires. He told me that all the tires will not have published info about them. They are all development super sticky tires and there is no other info on them. The mfg'ers keep that stuff closed door. Sorry I dont have more info. The price is right and these are GREAT tires.
