Tim Comeau
I'm extremely pleased to announce that 944-spec is now an official class for Autocross and Time Trials in the whole South West! Zone 8 comprises the area from San Diego, east to Tuscon, up north through Phoenix to Vegas, and west across to about San Luis Obispo. Now, drivers with no experience can start competing at AX's in a spec car and take the same car right through to road racing. Talk about "seat time?" YIKES! Lookout when they hit the track. There's a PCA TT at streets of Willow on Jan 22-23. I submitted this Zone 8 rules change proposal last Fall and just got the word this morning. I believe this move will not only increase awareness of our great spec class concept, but it will result in more 944 racers actually on the grid! NOW,........... If we can get NorCal kick started........ and link up with Greg Fordahl's squadron of 944's in Washington.......
Bill Addy
Great job Tim, I think starting at level is less intimidating allowing for a lot of seat time Bill
Packfill
Tim, PCA's notice says that if you dont have a PCA license, you need at least 6 autocross's to attend the Willow TT. Can I call someone and beg for a waiver????
mtm68
so... what, and who (sor far) are involved with building a 944 spec class in Norcal ? Marcus Mazda rotary type thing
Tim Comeau
Jim, I believe you have a frickin' SCCA road racing license That kind of supercedes any requirement for a dang TT permit..... Call or email Jack Miller.

PeanutinCA
Looking for a car Marcus? I know someone with a couple cars, 1 street vehicle, start from the beginning. Another that is stripped with a cage. And then there are a couple that are fully completed, take your pick! P.Dilly.

Tim Comeau
Yep. Rea's and Liera's cars are for sale here in SoCal, too. Let's get these cars to race licensed drivers if we can. I want to see these cars back on the grids as soon as possible!
