moto27cm
When visiting http://www.nasa-tt.com/rules.php and figuring my class, something cought my attention. Under "Honda", "Civic non-VTEC" and "Civic 1988-1995" are classed differently. It would appear to me that both of these cars are in fact the same, or should be in the same class. I have a 92 Civic CX (with a swap, albiet), and am wondering which choice I should use as a starting point. Any help is appreciated.

Based on the current rules, your car would start in base class TTH. I'm working on some changes for the upper classes, and I can look into this also to see what cars fall into the Civic non-VTEC class (I'm guessing there are a few post '95 Civics that didn't have V-tec). You can check with your regional TT director Jim Petroski regarding your specific car also.
National Staff Greg G. Posted January 27, 2005 National Staff Share Posted January 27, 2005 The rule reads Honda Civic CX 92-95 (not all Civics), and Civic Base 88-91 that are in TTH base class. So, it looks to me like there are some Civics in those years that are non-Vtec, not base or CX models, that would fall into the TTG* category. I was unable to find any post-95 models that didn't have Vtec engines, but perhaps someone else knows of some.
moto27cm
From 92-95 the Si, EX and VX all had some sort of VTEC motor. The CX, DX and LX did not. All of these motors where SOHC motors.
