Chill out
What brake pad upgrades are best for HPDE? There are too many choices. Going fast is fun, stopping scares me.
Trevor57
Some basic information about your vehicle would probably help people point you in the right direction.

Aardwolf
There are lots of good companies. I've tried several but not all and found that I like Carbotech quite a bit.
lubelizard
Vehicle specs, what group are you running,? Carbotech and Cobalt Friction offer excellent pads, maybe Racing Brake.
xcrider2005
I switch out my rotors and pads for track days and use Hawk HT-10 pads. I got mine from Andrew Racing and Jay Andrew (he makes it to most of Mid Atlantic events) was really helpful in selecting a good pad for my car. I'd give him a call. kbrew8991
sometimes you'll get a car that just plain doesn't like certain pad mfgs or compounds even though they may work great for alot of others. Best to get the advice of someone more familiar with your vehicle
boxtwo
I run a 2007 STi and use DBA 5000 front rotors, Stock Brembo Blanks in the rear with Hawk HT-10 pads. A GREAT step up from aggressive street pads. I will likely be changing to Hawk HT-60's in the front when the front pads are toast. Don't forget about lines and brake fluid either (I use stainless lines and ATE Blue/Amber fluid.) Vehicle info is important and as said above, never ask for the best since it is all opinion-based. Good luck!
