jon dawes Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I'd like to go to the event this weekend. I'm a NASA certified instructor and CMC rookie transplant from DC. I know in that region, I could just show up and get ride alongs, meet people, etc. even if I was not registered. I'd like to do the same tomorrow as I have yet to get on track and Infineon/SPIR is 12 minutes from my house AYE KARAMBA! I am happy to be a track beeyotch and take tire temps, do race prep, etc. on mustangs only lol...I only know stuff about blue ovals rather than gold bow ties. It may be too late to get ahold of anybody out there, but if you get this and you get the chance could you give me a quick buzz at 415.532.4533?! Any room left at that fancy pancake b-fast for a West Coast Newb? Thanks so much, Jon Dawes Fingers Crossed AI in 2010/2011 Quote
firehawkclone Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Just come on out and have a good time Jon. Quote
wlfpkrcn1 Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Does anybody have contact info for #131 Darryl Anderson? I have some decent video of his car on Sunday Quote
jrgordonsenior Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 That was an 11 minute race from green flag to checkered. Is that normal for Nor Cal sprint races?.... Quote
Adam Ginsberg Posted July 11, 2010 Author Posted July 11, 2010 That was an 11 minute race from green flag to checkered. Is that normal for Nor Cal sprint races?.... No, it's not. There was an incident that caused a shortened session. Quote
firehawkclone Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Because a few drivers cannot follow instructions, or control their cars, Nocal is at the point of reprimanding all of us like were kids. This is just what the officials have to do at this point. Quote

This is just what the officials have to do at this point. Well they're not alone. In May at WSIR, the POC Red flagged a race group when the first 3 cars blew double yellows at speed going up T3 and T4. There was a car 4-off left at the crest and corner stations from T2 on were displaying double yellows. After they got all the cars stopped they switched to black flags and cancelled the race. Lots of pissed off drivers, but it will probably get more drivers looking for flags for awhile. I blew a yellow earlier this year too and it cost me the race.... Quote
