johng Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 For those of us coming from the NW (and need to plan vacation) that have not had the opportunity to drive Infineon, does anyone know if there's a track day or test day the Friday before? Infineon website doesn't list test days in August. What's the "norm"? John Quote
Rick Hohwart Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Ditto for drivers coming from SoCal. Quote
Andrie Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Normally there will be test day on Friday before. Quote
Thawley Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Ditto for drivers coming from SoCal. Rick, DUDE, does that mean got out of whatever you were supposed to do that weekend... beside go racing? Quote
Andrie Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 yep free and clear to race Cool deal. I know you got your priority straight! Quote
civicrr Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 John, Does this mean no more BW? You guys will be coming to Infineon instead? Quote
0x1 Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Can the AZ guys come play? I'll be dying to get out of Tucson in August. Quote
Thawley Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 John,Does this mean no more BW? You guys will be coming to Infineon instead? Can't I do both? The way I read the schedule there's a crossover at BW in April and another crossover in Aug. at Sears... Quote
johng Posted February 3, 2005 Author Posted February 3, 2005 Thanks for the information. Hopefully there will be a full test schedule for Infineon so we can see about getting some track time in before the weekend. Mike, Not sure if you were talking to me, but BW is out for a lot of us. We talked about running the Laguna SCCA event, then doing BW the following weekend. I think Rick and a few others are still doing Laguna. Most of us are planning for the Infineon weekend though. I'd love to do both, but that's a awful lot of travel time. John PS, Do you guys have any H5 cars? Quote
mikeski38 Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Remember all you Team Continental guys, with the new rules this year, certian h5 cars have been reclassed at a lighter weight in H4. I seem to remember a blue EG hatch that ran against our CRX in H5 a few years ago, At 2175 lbs you are in H4. Quote
johng Posted February 3, 2005 Author Posted February 3, 2005 Thanks Mike. The blue car is James. I have a similar car but unfortunately, I can't get down to that weight unless I go crazy (not willing to go crazy just yet). But if there's no other H5 entrants, I might as well run H4 and see how it goes. John Quote
mikeski38 Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 just dump everything you can out of the car, and run on an empty tank, you'll get close. Quote
