1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Race Car

 

- Porsche Owners Club (POC) Champion in V3/R5

This race car is built to max specs for NASA GTS4, Porsche Owners Club race series V3/R5 class and is legal to run in Porsche Club Of America GT4S club race class.

 

Depending upon sale price I will negociate a good price on a heavily optioned featherlight open trailer. Trailer NOT available without car, or until car is sold.

 

The car currently needs an engine rebuild. The price anticipates a $6k to $20k engine rebuild, depending on how the new owner would like to classify the car. The current engine, which is very rebuildable, was blueprinted, balanced and strengthened in every way legal in POC. It lasted almost 300 hours before a valve guide failed. At $20k, a turbo with a G50 trans is available for the driver who wants total whammy!

 

I am an active PCA instructor and former Chief Driving instructor for the Intermountain PCA region. I have raced this car in both PCA and POC in Utah, Las Vegas and California.

 

Although, over $100K has been invested in this car, I am at a point where I do not wish to rebuild the motor, and think that this should be left to the new owner to spec. Therefore, I am only asking $22K for the car "as is". I am giving this car away at such low price, but will entertain reasonable offers; no low ball offers will be countered. This car is priced to sell quickly and is available for inspection at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele Utah. I will also consider delivering if we can come to fair terms.
