Everything has been looked at/taken care of. I have some old receipts from the previous owner, I am the third owner. The idea was to build a SE30 car but plans have changed. $3k obo. I really want to sell the car with the spare 325i engine/tranny. Not interested in parting the car. It's a solid car, just needs a bit more to be either a complete Spec E30 candidate. MJ_Z06
I was looking at the spec E30 rulebook and it says elible car years are 87 to 91. I don't think you can use this for spec E30. E30 guys please chime in.
bavarian3
Rules state: "9.3.2.1. Any BMW E30 car that was imported to the United States through a franchise BMW dealer, may be used in Spec E30 competition, if the Spec E30 approved engine and drive train have been installed." If you viewed the Appendix A, then it doesn't list anything early cars but that table is just referring to the weight. Since it would be an engine transplant, it needs to be the same weight of the car the engine came out of. "9.2.1. The minimum weight, with driver, for each eligible car is listed in Appendix A. The cars may be weighed at any time during the event by NASA or Spec E30 Officials."

TurboIS_DJ
Good deal, someone jump on this! Could you tell a difference with the JimC chip? I'm about to get one for my eta but have read mixed reviews.
bavarian3
Good deal, someone jump on this! Could you tell a difference with the JimC chip? I'm about to get one for my eta but have read mixed reviews. Thanks.. Yeah the Jim C did create a bit more power but the biggest fallback on the ETA is head/intake so it's not really usable power. Add a 3.73 and it's fun.
