greggearhead
Correction - 1.5 pistons! These are pistons and rods from a G-Production SCCA race car. (I also have the matching block and crankshaft they came from). Approx 80.5mm bore, for use with the limited production short-stroke 73.4mm crankshaft for a displacment of 1494.3cc. They are Arias pistons - obviously very low miles, as the skirts have extremely little wear. The rings are Total Seal rings. The pistons themselves look to be custom - with popups coming into the small 1.5/6/7 combustion chamber, machined cutouts for the valves and sparkplugs. A few of the pistons have a little residue on them (I didn't try cleaning them very much) as 2 of the cylinders *just* started to leak at the headgasket. The pistons appear to be custom made and no longer available, very high compression ratio. Easy to lower that by machining a touch off the top of the pistons if you wanted. As off-the shelf Arias VW sets go for $600 - The rods are VW 136mm rods and factory bolts, polished and balanced, as evidenced by the differing amounts removed from the big ends. Very strong rods - the same type used in Formula Vees making MUCH more power and spinning 9000rpm. I am asking $550 shipped (lower 48) for these, which I feel is a very fair deal. Feel free to make an offer if you feel the price is out of line. Piston 1 Piston 2 Piston 3 Piston
