Who is going to make it up to Mid-Ohio for the AI East points race in August?

This past weekend in the Great Lakes region we had 12 AI cars with many run groups full.

If you are going to Mid-O please sign up early as this event will sell out!!

I am anticipating 20+ cars in AI. So bring it if ya got it. This will be a preview to next years National Championships back at Mid-Ohio.

PARTY:

We are going to have a cookout Friday evening for the AI crowd after the test day around 6 or 7 ish.

Please let me know how many (family, friends, crew) will be attending.

This will be a great time so don’t miss it!!

Please respond directly to me with your RSVP for the party to [email protected]

Thanks,

Jay Andrew-Great lakes AI director

Brian Faessler reset the Club course record on Saturday with a 1:39.6. Track conditions were miserable, 90* and not a cloud in the sky. I'd expect that one to fall on the next Club day with better conditions. I ran a 1.39.2 in practice before the sun broke.

I ran a 1:37.099 in the race on Sunday on the Pro course, but Chris Durbin actually had fast lap with a 1:36.8 before he had a fire and pulled off.

IIRC, Jay has the Pro Course record with a 1:35.9xx set @ Nationals in '06 or '07. Luna was 30 or 40 thousandths behind at the same Nationals.

Jay,

I will be there as well, currently registered with my car, will need to change that to Robin's car. Should be able to mark the party as well, should be two us.

Thanks

Mark

Right now I plan on being there (and racing too - or at least getting in everyones way!)

Due to commitments I won't be rolling in until Saturday noon and starting on the tail of the pack. Hopefully someone can fill me in on the plan of action.

I'll hate missing the Friday get-together.

For anyone who hasn't registered yet, I would do it soon if you plan on going. Mid-O was close to selling out last time and with the additional cars expected, it could easily put it over the limit.

Registered, but won't be there for the party. We'll probably roll in at 1-2am on Saturday unless work gets slow again.
