jason
1999 323is: I've got the wiring done for switch and push button start, but my steering column is still locked. Is there a way to electrically unlock it or an easy way to just remove the entire mechanism? Preferably without pulling the steering wheel. Scany
I read that Bimmerforums thread as well and need to do this soon. Seems straight forward (hopefully). Peter: how's that VANOS seal going?

Peter: how's that VANOS seal going? Drilling out the steering lock really was easy - took about 10 minutes. Well... I took the vanos all apart weeks ago. Since then I haven't had time to get it together. I should have time during the holidays.
