The opener for the Time Trial season began this last weekend at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, Tx.

We had a lot of folks interested and most were looking at what it was all about. I think the whole crew did a great job at ironing out the details and gathering results.

The 3 participants were ...

Kevin Turner (Hawk#46) driving a '99 Firehawk with a few bolt ons and shod with Kuhmo V710s. So many bolt-ons, that he vaulted to Class U! Kevin owns and operates his own business in Carrolton, called Moonlite Printing and Graphics.

Bob Hallford driving a C5 with an MTI prepped C5R based, supercharged MONSTER and shod with Nitto 555Rs, also in Class U. Bob competes in the NASA Texas Mile and has aspirations of joining the 200 mph club. Bob and Teresa are living large these days participating in HPDEs in the silver monster and a stunning new yellow Z06.

Steve Mulder driving a C5 with LG Motorsports Long tube headers, cat back and Hoosier tires. Steve lives in San Antonio where he owns and operates Natwell Welding Supplies.

All 3 cars were 100% legal, street cars, fully capable of being daily driven.

Just to give some perspective, the race winner in American Iron turned a 1:22.4xx

Event 1

Weather was wet and the track was cold till the afternoon. The track dried and the sun peaked out on occasion. Temps were in the 50s and 60s.

2nd place - Bob Halford - 1:31.363

Event 2

The day started out dry, but the track was still cold. Gloomy weather rolled in after noon and an intermittent light mist began. Temps were in the 50s and 60s.

Class U:

1st place - Kevin Turner - 1:22.595

2nd place - Bob Halford - 1:29.852

Class B:

1st place - Steve Mulder - 1:25.465

Congratulations to the medal winners!
