Craig K. Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 (edited) 1985 Ford Mustang GT $5,000 Car was raced in open tracking from 1992 to 1998 then converted to wheel to wheel and raced from 1999 to 2003. All racing was in Midwestern Council Sport Car Club in a class similiar to SCCA A-Sedan / NASA AI or CMCII I was getting the car legal for NASA CMCI or II, so some things have been changed but still have all parts from original race configuration. Here is a short list of modifications Chassis: Through dash 6 point cage (1.75 Dom tubing), subframe connectors, MM panhard bar, upgraded front control arm bushings, upgraded rear control arms, 1000 lbs springs in front, adjustable KYB struts SVO Koni's in rear, spring shims (to adjust height), manual flaming river rack and pinnion, Body: car is painted black with green strips (hood was modified with '82 GT scope and ligthened, curretnly has stock hood per CMCI rules both come with), gray interior, partial interior (front section) Kirkey aluminum seat, aluminum dash panel with full Automer gages, MSD 6al, custom wiring harness/switch panel, push-button start, master cut-off. Brakes / Drivline: 13" Cobra in front T-Bird in rear, front spindles are SN-95, SVO master cylinder, adjustable proportioning valve, brake coolers, rear axle are Moser, 3.73 gear ratio, 3" wheel studs, 17x8 '98 Cobra wheels, 1993 world class T-5 (two race weekends) Engine: 306 cubic inch, stock rods have been ground and shot peened, custom ground roller cam, 1.6 full roller rockers, '66 289 HO heads, lots of port work and larger valves, long tube headers, king cobra clutch, lakewood scatter shield, mini starter, Edelbrock RPM intake, Holly 650 double pumper square bore, MSD distributor, Accumsump system, large oil cooler, Griffin aluminum radiator, lots of braded line work, 22 gallon fuel cell (out of date), electric fuel pump. Note: Currently has stock cam, Holley 600, Edelbrock Performer and stock shorty headers per CMCI rules, but all other parts come with. RWHP made 292 H.P. 312 torque with an A/F of 12.1:1 (original configuration) Car weighs 2850 with 5 gallons of fuel (no driver). Will selling with racing gear too (minus shoes/helmet) I have not raced this car since 2003, car ran competitvely in Midwestern Council for several years, raced at Blackhawk, Road America and Ginegerman car was number 85. Selling because 3 kids cost to much money and will not be racing again for a LONG time. Car should be ready to go with a weekend worth of freshening work. would also consider partial trade on a 85-93 driver (hatch/coupe maybe vert) Edited June 19, 2011 by Guest Quote
