Randy Bader Jr
I recently had my cage finished and wanted to make sure this is proper. I've seen other cars where the rest of the belt slack is tied around the bar and looks nicer. I don't like how the rest of the belt material not being used is just laying on the floor.. would it be legal/safe for me to cut it but still allowing plenty of slack? soundguydave
DON'T cut it! I would just coil it up, and use a zip-tie to tie it off to the loop between the bar and the adjuster. Don't cinch the tie tight, just enough to neaten up the slack.
stevelaclair
Your picture isn't working, but I did the same as the guy above me. Just rolled up the slack and zip tied it.
kbrew8991
yep, common practice is to roll up the excess and zip tie it in place.

Members Shawn T.
Zip ties are the best invention ever. Haha. Zip Ties, Cool Shirt, Racers Tape, and the Hans Device are my four favorite inventions.
