Kris6957
I've been searching, but can't seem to find the answer. I'm looking for a manufacturer that makes them. I want to do some NASA driving schools and need to fit one in. Thanks.
rpterson
You might try Autopower Industries http://www.autopowerindustries.com/Application_List.htm Give them a call as to your application. You can also purchase Autopower rollbars from IO Port Racing Supplies, good pricing.
Keith
Sometimes you'll get a better cage if you go custom. Where are you located? A local race shop has done a few BMW cages that came out pretty well and they are inexpensive...
jp99gt
Consider Kirk Racing also - they make roll bars for BMWs, but I don't know if they have any for E46's yet. I bought their roll bar over the Autopower for my Mustang. Kirk had a different fit for the bar for the different year SN95's rather than the "one size fits all" Autopower. The fit is excellent in my car. http://www.kirkracing.com/ Call them as the website doesn't list everything they do.

Keith
I'm in Pittsburgh. I'm not sure if you would want to come all this way, but if you do, you might want to at least talk to these: http://www.dominationchassis.com/ They are into cars, not websites... Just so you know that I am not affiliated with them or anything, I had them weld the seat-back bracket last year in my car when I installed a passenger seat in my race car (cage was done years ago). They did a nice job quite inexpensively. While we were talking, I mentioned that that NASA was running Beaver Run and invited them out without ever expecting them to really take the time. Actually, they came out to the Beaver Run event to say "hi". When my car broke in practice and I was fixing it slowly enough to probably miss qualifiying, they allowed me to suit up and they fixed my car in time for me to qualify. Since then, my dad has had some cage work done on his VVC Vette by them on his cage, I've had them do some exhaust work on my car and I know that they did 2 local M3's to NASA specs. If you call them, they could probably e-mail you pictures of the BMW's that they have done... These are just they kind of guys that I look to do business with and I would like to see them succeed. I don't think they are busy right now...
