DavidH
I have taken this year off from racing and would fire up the car periodically. Unfortunately, last time it did not start. I will try to determine what the cause was. For the mean time, it is OK to put Sta-bil in our fuel for long term storage? I do not want to drain the tank as I would like to run the car from time to time.
944-Spec#94
I had street car down for about a year. I did nothing to the fuel and it started right up. Not sure if it was luck or not.
B1BFlyer
I've stored cars long term with sta-bil before and never had any problems. I don't know if you can add it after the gas is already old and have it still work the way it's supposed to. The idea is to help it prevent the chemical breakdown over time, which they say is about 3-4 months but I don't know if that's just to sell more product. Any time I plan to store a car for 6 months or more, I put Sta-bil in the tank. Ryan
DavidH
Since the fuel in the car was from Utah at the National's, it may be why the car does not start. I will put Sta-bil in the fuel hopes that it is not already bad. Then I will see if I am getting spark or if fuel is pumping to diagnose the no start issue. Thanks for your help. genikz
I use Sta-bil each winter, and hit the track with it still in the system...and I have the 10.2 compression motor, with no issues.
