Micks 41
Yawn... Seriously, congratulations!!! Considering the car didn't have a motor until two weeks ago and zero track time since...?? Though I have to admit , I was rooting for Henderson.
Grizlbits
Thanks Paul, Mick. I fired the motor for the first time on 9/2. The new transmission worked great, along with the new rear end gear, transmission gearing, new mini-tubs to fit the new rims, the wider slick tires, the new belt tensioner etc, etc. Thanks to all sponsor who helped me get here: G & V Machine, Hoosier Tire, DSS Racing Engines, Maximum Motorsports, Car Craft Auto body, and of last but not least Paul's Automotive Engineering for setting up that smoking fast turbo system (and the wiring, exhaust, fuel system, motor plates, etc, etc). The race doesn't look that close on the replay; but I can tell you that I could feel your car just 4-5 seconds behind me the entire first half of the race. I was running 10 / 10ths the entire race trying to gap you which did not happen until traffic worked in my favor. We need to race more regionals together. I hope you make it out to Road America where we can really let the cars run to their potential. Dean and Chris Cobetto also looked to have a great race. I did not think Dean could run through the field like he did, great job Dean.
