John,

I tried calling you today and didn't get much of a chance to track you down on Sunday. I wanted to thank you for fixing our car during "Tribute". For those who don't know we broke a water plug during our pit stop and were done with the event and pushing our car back to the garage when I noticed John helping push our car. I told him what let go and without a beat he said get to the garage and he'd get us back on the track. He replaced the plug, bleed the system and I went off to finish. We ended up 9 laps off the leader so I don't feel too bad concidering everything.

Thanks again John and I just wanted to let you know publicly!!

You're the best!!

That's awesome, good job Tim and Eric and good job John.

Too bad John can't run at 130mph, he could have plugged the hole in my radiator with a lap and a half to go!

Dilly, I didn't find out till today that you had pulled off the track before the checkered flag. Bummer.

That was great of Anderson to get you guys going again, Eric. I'm glad you guys didn't give up and it was cool to get the thumbs up from you later as I passed on the front straight. I motioned for you to fall in behind me and you did! Drafting works wonders on our low HP cars, doesn't it?

The thumbs up was much more warm than your middle finger one gun salute you gave me when you rolled by our pits with the car broke! I was wondering what I did wrong?

Yeah, unfortunately when we came upon that Ferrari slow car , I backed off to create space to get a run, I could see something was up with him. I made that run but just as I came to pass you both, he moved over right (slightly) giving you the point by. I'm not sure if you had to move to avoid him also (?) but I ended up having to jump over the curb on the left to avoid you on the inside as there was no way I could go around the outside with him slowing up and pulling to the right. When I jumped that inner curb, I pounded my radiator up into the locator bolt, punching a perfect hole in the plastic. It spewed out it's water and half a lap later, she was red light warnings all over. I pulled into the pits and shut it off. I did actually start up again and putter around to complete under my own "steam", to at least say I finished. But it was all over. I luckily bought a spare radiator and got it going again for Sunday TT and Cup race. I think I Gave Dwain a run for his money in the end? In the Cup race and maybe upset him a little in the TT? That's why I say too bad I forgot to put the tray back on, I think it could have been worth a tiny little more time?

Tim the finger was telling you we were f&*$ed! Until I saw John I thought we were done as we didn't have the stuff to fix the car. I did not mean to offend!!

Eric, you're such a nice guy I don't think you could be offensive if you tried.......Unless you didn't shower for a week or something like that.

That Ferrari driver really pissed me off!

Dilly and I were fighting for our lives and this guys putting around turns 12-17 at 30 mph! I flicked the high beams on and off a number of times but the guy would not get off line. I first used the lights to warn him that we were approaching at speed from about 50 yards back. I did 2 more flash sessions to try to get his slow butt out of the way.

Maybe he was tired.....I don't know....but he was clearly unaware of his surroundings.

There were a number of times during the final laps when Dylan and I were side by side with less than 6 inches separating us. We went into turns like that and came out of turns like that. Thrilling! I've learned to trust his ability to run super close without touching.

I only wish we had it on video......
