Spec-944#70 Posted April 13, 2005 Share Posted April 13, 2005 Paul the "Unofficial" results are up and show Chaz as a DQ! If he put himself in R9 then that my be the problem. I know from previous posts he may or may not be Spec which in the POC is R9S. If he still had the lightened flywheel which keeps him out of the Spec class it would have had him in V5 or race class R7 which would have still earned him a first place. Chaz give Jeff Melnik an email and maybe you can resolve it. I spoke to Chaz for a few minutes and it was good to see him come out and play with us. I know in the past he didn't care what class he was he just wanted to play. And that's fine with me. He's always been a pleasure to be around. Good luck Chaz!! and great drive!! chaswirken Posted April 14, 2005 Share Posted April 14, 2005 I have no idea why the unofficial Enduro results show me as DQ. I passed tech prior to the race; I had the required Auto Gallery and Home 1 2 3 decals on the car, I pitted as required for 5 minutes during the race, I was not black flagged during the race, I reported to impound after the race and was released without question, I was given a class trophy (after intially being overlooked during the awards ceremony), and I was never notified of any protest on Saturday or Sunday before I left the track at 5:00 pm. I cannot imagine why I have been belatedly DQ'ed. As you know, I was not running as a spec car. My car has a lightened flywheel and was running well-worn Hoosiers. After reviewing the POC GCR's to determine the appropriate procedure, I have written to Steve Vandecar, the POC Competition Director. He apparently doesn't know why either, and has inquired of others. I will let you know what happens. Thanks to all for your friendliness at the track and on this forum.
