[email protected] Posted September 25, 2011 Share Posted September 25, 2011 I reinstalled my used timing belt and tensioned it with an Arnworx tool. The belt seems to get a vibration/wobble at a specific spot (maybe 2k rpm). Is this normal? What does a belt that is too loose or too tight look like? Also, I don't think I hear enough timing belt whine. Thanks for any suggestions. The vibration is most apparent at 25 seconds into the video. Sterling Doc Posted October 29, 2011 Share Posted October 29, 2011 Agree - it looks like you have a harmonic issue. It's easy to get the balace shafts out of phase as the markings are confusing.
