Motorsports Development Group (MDG) Enters Multi-Car Effort for NASA 25 Hour Race

(November 1, 2011)

The Woodlands, TX

In its first year of operation, Texas based Motorsports Development Group (MDG) will field a multi-car team at the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) 25 Hours of Thunderhill in scenic Willows, California on December 3rd , 2011.

The 25 Hours of Thunderhill is a racing adventure open to amateur and pro racers alike. It is not uncommon for 70 cars to take the green flag on Saturday and their teams of drivers to motor to the checkered flag 25 hours later on Sunday.

The entrants consist of a wide range of racing series experience & background, which MDG prides itself on. "Professional Driver Development" can be obtained from beginner kart racing (with the development team KART NATION) to professional endurance racing with the Motorsports Development Group.

The MDG team driver line up for this event will consist of Stuart Robinson, Alec Udell, Adam Kelleher, Mike Bell, Todd Covini, and Bob Udell. Three MDG prepared Spec Miatas will make the trek from Texas to California with eyes on the competitive E3 class, however, only two Miatas will take the green flag on Dec. 3rd for the grueling 25 hour race. The third car will be a backup resource for the team.

Team Principal, Stuart Robinson, commented: "The 25 Hours of Thunderhill is an amazing event which brings drivers from every discipline of racing. Our team of drivers has been involved with many of the major racing sanctioning bodies and a handful of racing series. MDG looks forward to bringing them together for this event and offering its drivers a professional racing experience and a podium finish. Stuart further remarked, "I drove with my Grand Am team in the 25 Hr 4 years ago and it was the most fun I've had in a racecar. I want my team and customers to experience that same enjoyment."

Alec Udell, the 15 year old 2011 World Challenge GTS racer, said "I look forward to working with the MDG team and drivers at Thunderhill. This is a cool event that will allow us to work on endurance racing skills & strategies which we plan to do more of in 2012." Alec will celebrate his 16th birthday while driving in the 25 Hour event.
