jmeris
How do I know if need the 35 or 40MM?My car is a 1989 CRX DX and previous owner swap to SI Thanks You remove, the transmission from your car (or pay someone to do it) and crack it open and measure..how else would you know for sure?! Sure beats ordering the wrong lsd and trying to install it, then sending it back, re-ordering, and then finally installing it.

Also the mm is ID or OD? Thanks
H4CRXSi
Feel free to send me the numbering from the case and I'll see if my trans guru buddy can decipher to see if it is from a DX or Si. Also, I have a friend who is a dealer for MFactory, and we just installed one of their metal plate diffs in the CRX that he and I co-drove this season and what a difference it was over the Quaife that we had in the car previously. If you want to, contact me directly and I can get you some more info: smyersjr "at" att "dot" net Regards, Sam
jmeris
Is that the only way or it can be read form the # on the tranny. Also the mm is ID or OD? Thanks It's probably the most sure way to confirm what size you have. Using the tranny code might not work because if i remember correctly, most of those EF tranny's were coded "L3"??? Also, if the previous owner replaced the diff with a different size than the original, you'll need to measure.
ILIKETODRIVE
I was on d-series.org for the longest time years ago. Look here: IF I remember right, PL3/A000 and PL3/A100 are small bearing cases. PL3/3000 PL3/6000 PL3/9000 PL3/B000 are large bearing cases. Like Meris said, only 100% for sure way is crack it open and measure.
