Any idea on when this will take affect? I see the racer registration is more expensive now and the TT is the same?

Aren't they both cheaper than HMS a few weeks ago? I must have misunderstood something from the prior administration. Will advise asap.

Negative, Spec Miata paid I think 269, thunder paid 289 (regardless of early reg), and TT was always 399. We paid upwards of 409 last year as well for TT. I believe Sebring and Homestead were the same price, not sure if it was for sanity or if the rental price was really the same.

Entry fees shall stand as posted for Jan @ HMS, will look at this again before March @ HMS (and Sebring.) And, the one-day reg options are all noticeably cheaper now than ever before, so my statement earlier is technically true. Thanks!

Event info page is up, not 100% complete yet so please check back the week beforehand (schedule & entry list will be up by then)... http://www.drivenasafl.com/speed/content/homestead

Note: it's worth reading several times for sure, some things are done differently than last year. Reg, tech, and grid particularly. Example: http://www.drivenasafl.com/speed/sites/default/files/hms-infield-jan12.jpg

Notice TT tech mentions event or annual inspection with Log Book. Is FL going to institute Annual TT inspections/logbook?

Yes indeed, correct, we will be doing annuals w/logbook for TT cars. (Same sticker, same book but with "TT only" noted, different paperwork to file, different inspection itself...)

More on this soon,

Jon

TT'ing instructors are welcome to get an annual, or just keep doing things the old way (self tech/turn in form at every event.)

TT logbooks and annual stickers will be issued by tech at the track, just like race logbooks/stickers.

Thanks! We will have NASA stickers for purchase at registration/driver info. As for numbers or class designations, we will be selling off what's left in stock but not replenishing or taking orders. Masking tape is allowed in a pinch. I suggest using a known good source, for instance one of our NorCal racers http://www.racing-numbers.com/

May as well get a log book because you will need one if you run any SE events.

We will have 5 tech inspectors at HMS in a couple of weeks, all of whom can issue TT annuals.
