EDIT 12 30 2011: Quantity 4 remaining

Well, the funds weren't in the budget for me to go racing in 2011, and at the rate things are going, they won't be there to go racing in 2012, either. So, it's time to cut my losses and move along.

I'm selling a set of 4 Hoosier R6 tires, size 255/35-18, all of them BRAND NEW, never mounted. As shown in the photos, they have been stored in the closet of my spare bedroom since I bought them (is it obvious that I'm not married?). No garage storage, no hot attic storage, no outdoor storage, no sunlight, no UV rays; just a dark, climate controlled bedroom closet. My still-unused rain tires are covered by the black box, as they are not for sale (I'll be using them on my other street Mustang).

255/35-18 specifications from Hoosier

46832 part number

R6 compound

10.3" tread width (same tread width as a 275/35-18)

24.8" approximate diameter

77.8" circumference

8.5" - 10" recommended wheel width (I used 18x9 wheels)

9.0" measured rim (yay, I used the right size)

10.8" section width

The manufacturing date code on all tires is 5010, or mid-December 2010.

Compared to my previous 255/40-17 Toyo RA1 tires, my first set set of these 255/35-18 Hoosier R6s knocked 2.7 seconds off of my best lap time at Sebring. They work, even though I suck.

For you Time Trial and Performance Touring guys, these are still legal as 255mm tires through the end of the 2011 season, so get 'em in time for your final December race!

These cost me $315 + sales tax + $20 shipping each. How does $300 each sound, with free shipping in the continental US? They will be sold in pairs.

PayPal, USPS money orders, or personal checks are fine. In the case of personal checks, the tires will ship after the check clears (unless I'm familiar with you already).

2 of these tires have been sold; there are 4 remaining. Apparently, they work well on the front of late model Porsche 911s.
