UFfitz56 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 So after taking my STI and S2k to a few track days, I felt the need to eventually start getting into some wheel to wheel racing. I found that a 944 would be a good fit for me, and about 6 months ago I bought the perfect “turnkey” race car. The car was built by Tony Heyer @ Heyer Performance in San Fransisco and has a very long racing history. I couldn’t wait to get my competition licence! I was finally able to get the car on the track for my first time in HPDE2 recently. The car preformed great all weekend which is evident from the video: (I know I am a slow driver!)Everything went great as there were no issues with car. BUT, I have just been told I am being laid off at the end of the year. So unfortunately my toys have to be the first to go. Now on to the car: 1983 944 with 88 full drivetrain Short 5th and LSD Headers New rodbearings ARP rob bolts Roger Kraus suspensions Koni Shocks complete race suspension with sways and torsion bars. Upgraded oil cooler Cookie cutter wheels with spacers and RA1’s Plastic 88 Gas tank Racing log books with a lot of history I added a single SPAL racing fan with manual switch for those hot florida days in the paddock. Spares included: - 4 extra cookie cutter with 2 half tread RA1’s - oem tubular headers - Accusump system not hooked up. - Newly painted front valence - Flowmaster muffler (a lot louder than current borla) - Spare 88 DME As far as I know the following need to be removed to make spec legal (or could be run in GTS1 or 944cup): - Remove headers and replace with oem tubular (included) - Remove brake bias in car adjuster - Remove msd ingnition system - Remove wheel spacers. I’m not an expert so I may have missed something I am asking $7,000 or best offer. I can also include a 20 ft open trailer with wheel rack and huge front box for an extra $1000. Please PM me with any questions or offers! Quote

Sterling Doc Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 That's a lot of car for the money - perfect for someone in the new Southeast region! What antisway bars are those? Haven't seen them. Sway bars are free, so no worries about them being legal. Quote

Very sad to see it go but let me know if anyone in your area is looking for a great car. I would be willing to work with shipping too. Quote
