Were you going to fast for having a student in the car?

I don't think so, but maybe. It's been a long time since I've done any joy riding.

Usually when I hit the track it's balls to the wall.

With A6s working out to be $100-120 worth of wear every session I do not take students out on good tires.

Agreed. That's the main reason I don't have a pass seat in my car.

And the reason I took mine out Tired of being the guy with the passenger seat who's always asked to give rides when I have my good tires on.

wasn't crash number one right after someone signed off on him?

He was chasing me through 12.

He had been TTing for a while. I was only a participant at that time.

That was the problem with some of the DE4 non instructor cars this past weekend...in the DE3/4 sessions...they were balls to the wall, I saw way too many no point passes in the combined group, and despite it being discussed twice...most of the offenders were not instructors...so they never got the word.

...and he wouldn't sell me his radiator....even after I gave him time to calm down.

As it rolled off the.tiltback is not enough calm down time for future reference.

Yeah that was a little bit before I pulled you in. Just making sure my timeline on his crashes is right. Alot to keep track of I hear

I'm glad that I don't suffer from motion sickness. Last weekend at Road Atlanta I had to give a checkride to a student from DE2 to DE3. His car was a 2008 NASCAR Penske Dodge (ex Kurt Busch road race car). Fastest I've ever been in the right seat....Needless to say, I was giggling like a school girl the rest of the day

John

I was with one of my DE2 students and as we come out of T7 he says, "What is that noise?"

My reply, "It is the Penske car on your tail, stay left and point him by NOW!!!"

That is plenty of time. I generally start calling dibs on parts before the car comes off track.

I've seen you guys call dibs on Grid. Looking up and down the line for potential parts before going out.

Have you seen Mike in a "tizzy"? He also had three broken ribs and someone had stolen his in car camera. He was not amenable to the carrion collectors.

On Khoi and Hazman we just take and ask for forgiveness later.....

Tell Mike the next time he leaves his Vette running in the pit next to me for THREE HOURS, I am taking it out for a session no matter how much of a "tizzy" it may put him into.

I remember when Khoi's black C5Z carcass was still warm, jason was over here stealing black replacement panels because he had been in the wall

When mike was between crashed vette's, he had that yellow one, and was "shaking it down" right after the 1st wreck. I was sitting on grid way down towards T1, and he came into T1 sideways, like i could read the side of his car sideways, lol. I was just sitting in my car shaking my head

Josh is in process to be a 2LT in the Army - in some things I failed miserably....

Don't kick yourself. Could've been worse. Jarhead or squid.

That hurts us former squids who were jarhead trained

I can't believe I said it. I spent way too much time in U.S. Chair Force Advanced Sensitivity Training to have let that slip out.

Dumb and dumber leap to mind.

Being born in Pensacola and raised on my fathers tales of life aboard escort carriers in WWII and Korea I decided naval aviation was not my preferred method to impress bar babes and look cool in a flightsuit. My father eventually forgave me...

That was the car after the second black one was totalled. A lot of that car was from the second total (as is his current car). Thank the track gods I got that yellow car a new home before it detonated...

He wasn't using them anymore.

That was a rough weekend for Corvettes.

People need to realize that anything left at your house is fair game. Which reminds me, did you put Rick's hazard switch back?

I'm reminded of a saying:

"If you're going to be dumb, you better be tough"

I thought it was:

If you're going to be dumb, you might as well be good at it"
